Ortaldo, Susan M., 77, Windber, passed away August 22, 2024 at Windber Woods. Born May 1, 1947 in Wilmington, Delaware, daughter of the late Horace W. and Gladys (Goss) Maisel. Preceded in death by brother-in-law, Gary Goss. Survived by loving daughters, Carrie A. married to George Wolf; and Lauree L. married to Donald Roten; beloved grandson, Aiden Roten; sister, Nance Goss; niece, Joanna Mattson; and by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Susan was a 1981 graduate of Chester County Hospital school of Nursing attaining the title of Registered Nurse. She served her career at the hospital as an ICU, ED and night shift Supervisor. After retirement from nursing, she opened and operated a Bed & Breakfast. Susan enjoyed sailing the Chesapeake Bay and most of all enjoyed time with her grandson, Aiden. At the request of Susan, there will be no viewing and service will be private at the convivence of her family. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home of Windber. Memorial contributions may be directed to Windber Hospice or Windber Woods in her memory.
